Explainable AI and Human-AI collaboration

Explainable-AI is currently one of the most researched topics in computer science. Explainable-AI is the fundamental for the development of trustworthy and legally compliant systems in many critical fields and applications. In this presentation I am going to show the work done at KDD-lab in the field of Explainable-AI. We are going to see the technical challenges the we faced and the explainable AI methodologies developed in various data domains. We are also going to see how Explainability can serve as the bedrock for the development of future Human-Centered AI models.

Biography

Roberto Pellungrini is a Researcher at Scuola Normale Superiore and a member of the KDD Lab, a joint research initiative of ISTI Institute of CNR, the Department of Computer Science of the University of Pisa and Scuola Normale Superiore. He earned his PhD in Computer Science at The University of Pisa in 2020 with a thesis on Data Privacy. He currently works with professor Fosca Giannotti on Explainability and Hybrid Decision Making Systems.
