Nils Asmussen

The M³ Hardware/Software Platform

M³ is a hardware/operating system co-design, developed at the Barkhausen Institut in Dresden, with the goal to build more trustworthy devices. In this talk, I will first give a general introduction to M³, followed by a deeper look into our two most recent activities. The first is about our ongoing efforts to use M³ as a foundation for disaggregation-native devices, allowing direct data exchange between heterogeneous devices. The second part will be about our recent research on the real-time properties of the M³ hardware/software platform.
