Biography
Joined Huawei Ireland Research Center in September 2014 as part of a Service Provider Operations Team, working with the Vodafone Account in a Technical Marketing Role, and in recent years, Derek has been mainly focused on Collaboration efforts with European Universities, Industry and governmental stakeholders, to enhance to reputation of Huawei’s Research charter. As part of Huawei’s European Research Institute, Derek promotes Ireland’s unique Academic & Start-up Innovative talent and represents Huawei’s interests on many boards and governmental committees. Derek has spent many years working with leading organisations in technical and sales management roles, in Europe, Asia and the US, and has gained insightful eco-system knowledge working with European and Local governmental entities and agencies.
